Dortmund vs. Bayern.
Posted by Gerloveofsport.

It's first against second in the Bundesliga on Saturday as Champions Bayern travel to the Westfalenstadion to take on Dortmund. The home side have somewhat of a defensive crisis coming into this game as Hummels, Schmelzer and Subotic will all miss out through injury, while Polish right-back Lukasz Piszczek is only just returning from a long lay-off. How they are going to set up defensively will be interesting. Probably a back four of Durm, Kirch, Papastathopoulos, and Piszczek is the best they can hope for. After losing their last game at Wolfsburg, they will need to bounce back here if they don't want to fall 7 points behind Bayern.
Bayern on the other hand come into this game on the back of four straight victories. Injuries to Shaqiri, Thiago and now Ribery who has a broken rib, mean that Bayern have the upper hand on squad numbers. How the International break affects both teams remains to be seen, especially those players who had competitive World Cup play-off games and how the euphoria, or dejection has affected them.
As usual, a full-house will be there to cheer them on, but with the defensive crisis that Dortmund have, the home crowd may well go home disappointed as Bayer's attacking flair could put that defence under emense pressure that they may not be able to cope with. Going forward Dortmund are probably one of the most entertaining teams in World Football, especially with the likes of Lewandowski, Reus and Mkhitaryan, but I just think it will be Bayern Munich's day
