St Patrick's Athletic have pulled off something of a surprise, signing former Birmingham City and Ireland star Keith Fahey.
Fahey, who won a league Cup Winners medal in 2011 has been suffering with injuries since then, and was released by Birmingham at the end of last season. He then underwent hip surgery and has been trying to secure a contract with a host of clubs. He has previously played for Pats, from 2003-2008, and has stated that he turned down better offers from other clubs to sign for the Dubliners. The 2014 League of Ireland will be better for it.
