Manchester United to sign Fredy Guarin?

Manchester United officials are due to meet the Colombians agent in London this week. Guarin, a Colombian International was part of the Porto team that won all before them in 2011 under then coach Andre Vlillas Boas.

Teaming up with Radamel Falcao they won the Portuguese league and the Europa league final in Dublin beating Braga 1-0. A superb cross from Guarin gave Falcao the chance to score to winner in that game which he duly did.
On the back of his performances for Porto he moved to Italy and signed for Inter Milan in January 2012, on loan with an option to buy in the summer of that year, which they duly picked up for €11m. Seven goals in fifty-three games followed. But, with new owner Erick Thohir looking to make a major move in the transfer market in January it looks like he will become surplus to requirements for Walter Mazzari. Guarin, with the World Cup on the horizon, needs to be playing regularly and sees a move to England as the perfect fit. United are on the lookout for a talented winger for a while now, and with Madrid's Angel Di Maria looking like moving to French club AS Monaco, United have turned their attention to Guarin. Tottenham Hotspur have also made an inquiry for the winger.
